In some cases, the information text for the last received update for each folder shown in the menu on the update notification icon in the notification area would show incorrect time

"Remove reminders" from the right-click folder menu offered to remove reminders in the currently active folder in Outlook 2007, not in the selected one

This upgrade is a very important maintenance release. Many issues were addressed and fixed, including elimination of duplicate management forms and integration of automatic duplicate management system as in ShareO, SSL support in Google services, ability to reset and clear synchronization filters in profiles, etc.
Functional Updates:

New duplicates prevention system. Now you do not have to manually choose what to do when duplicates are found. The software will do it for you. Using the improved algorithm of duplicates detection and auto-merging rules, most of your duplicate items will be detected during the initial synchronization and appropriately handled without any additional questions. Items that cannot be merged automatically, are placed into a special "Conflicts" folder for you to review and decide later what to do with them. Original items are backed up after merging in case you don not like the merge results and want to restore your original item.

Ability to clear or reset synchronization filters for all synchronized folders added. Sometimes, the range of recurrence setting of events would change in an Outlook appointment during synchronization with Google Calendar

All events would be deleted from Google Calendar when Outlook folder assigned for synchronization with this Google Calendar was deleted

In some scenarios the last occurrence of the recurrent event synchronized from Outlook to Google Calendar were not seen in Google Calendar

Contact pictures added on iPhone and synchronized with Outlook contacts using iTunes would not appear in Google Contacts

Sometimes, several instances of Outlook contact folder would appear in Google Contacts profile, as a result causing other synchronization issues

Several instances of the same calendar could be added in Google Calendar profile resulting in the "Failed" status on one of the calendars

First synchronization attempt of any profile would always fail after the computer goes back from the "sleep" or "hibernate" mode

When folders from different root Personal Folders with identical names were synchronized, they would be synchronized with incorrect Personal Folders on other computers

Outlook folder would remain unchecked in the profile settings dialog after assigning Google Calendar folder to it

The Profile could not be created in some cases if specific characters were used in the profile name

The Application would crash in various scenarios if the profile name with numbers only or with specific characters was created and used

The Application would crash on creation of a new 4Team Sharing Service profile if there is not enough free space available

It was impossible to create a 4Team Sharing Service account when e-mail contained specific characters

The Application would crash when trying to close the custom FTP settings dialog with the "Close" icon

It was possible to connect the same computer to the same Custom FTP profile multiple times

In some scenarios it was possible to connect a new computer to the FTP profile, that was already marked for deletion from another computer

It was possible to create several network synchronization profiles with the identical names on the same computer

It was possible to create a new USB or network synchronization profile without selecting any Outlook folders for synchronization

The Application would crash on exit when the new profile creation wizard or Settings dialog is open

In some cases, a previously removed Outlook folder from 4Team FTP Sharing Service profile could not be re-added

If a profile folder was completely deleted on location, the synchronization attempt of such profile would result in constant "Synchronizing" status until the application is restarted

The "Settings" dialog cannot be accessed when the current profile synchronization is in progress

The Application would not show any interface when trying to open it using shortcuts if during the Windows startup it fails to load for some reason.

When entering an Outlook folder on some systems it sometimes would not show any content, but display the "Loading" status  only instead

When rejecting a sharing invitation, the invitation from the same user for the same folder would appear again for as many times as there are e-mails with updates from that user in the Inbox; now it is fixed to ignore any further updates received from this user/folder until Outlook is restarted

On some non-English Windows systems, the installation would fail with 1324 error due to the file name with non-Latin character inside the installation package

If two or more separate Outlook windows were opened, after restarting Outlook, the program menu and toolbar would be missing on other additional Outlook windows.

If you have more than one e-mail account in Outlook, you can choose what account should be used for sending (Outlook 2007 only) and receiving e-mails with updates. Just go to "Options" and select the e-mail account you want to use in the "Account" section.

The errors would be generated and data would not be shared, if e-mail with apostrophe was entered in the list of contacts of shared folder

Japanese and Chinese languages are available only with the separate "Asian" edition installation file from ShareO Jp and Cn product websites. Standard installation package does not include these languages. Localized documentation will be available by the end of July.

This important update only fixes problems related to 4Team Sharing Service and FTP Custom profiles. So it’s not necessary to install this update if a customer doesn’t use these profile types.

In some cases synchronization updates would not be synchronized correctly with 4Team Sharing Service the connection timeout occurs during synchronization process

If the Internet connection lost or unavailable when Sync2 was already running, in some cases all further attempts to start synchronization of Custom FTP or 4Team Sharing Service profile would fail unless Sync2 was restarted

Synchronization with Google Contacts is now supported. You can now synchronize your Outlook Contacts with Google Contacts. Just select the "Google Contacts" synchronization type when creating the synchronization profile, enter your Google Login information and select the folder you wish to be in sync with Google Contacts.

Synchronization would not work with some custom FTP servers that do not support MLST command

Sync2DB is a Windows application that safely links and syncs Outlook with your corporate database or any other database with minimum or no employee/customer interaction.

This update in general significantly improves the FTP synchronization functionality. A completely re-developed the folder first synchronization - one file is now used to compress and upload all data to the FTP location, which dramatically increases the speed of first synchronization for folders with large number of items. 4Team FTP Sharing Service was added for "quick start". It allows to synchronize folders via the Internet. Many issues were fixed in this update, related to duplicate management, FTP synchronization and application general stability.

4Team FTP Sharing Service added. You can now use our FTP Sharing Service without having to set up your own FTP server. Just create your FTP Sharing Service account using your e-mail address and password, and start synchronizing your Outlook folders.

Improved FTP synchronization speed. The updated synchronization algorithm allows you to start synchronization of your Outlook folders through FTP and our FTP Sharing Service significantly faster.

The drop-down list with folder association types in the new Google Calendar profile wizard was shown incorrectly on Windows 2000 systems

The currently selected folder path was shown with numbers in the "Create New Folder" dialog

Sometimes the Sync2 process would not close during the installation of a new Sync2 version

The "Stop" button is now disabled for FTP profiles, because synchronization with FTP locations currently does not support cancellation

Functional Updates

Contacts are now supported. You can enter contact name, e-mail and phone in the same text line, and the appropriate contact will be created. Also, if you already have this contact in your Outlook, it will be updated with the information that was entered.

Notes are now supported. When you enter any text as a note, it will be added to your Outlook Notes folder.

Other Issues

The free product version now only supports appointments, all other types of items are supported by the full version only

Full functionality can be tested during a 14-day trial period, then the product switches automatically to the “free” mode, until activated

Trial installation includes only the free version of Vista Gadget, that supports appointments only. The Full gadget is now available only after the full product version is purchased

Functional Updates Added

"Use MS Outlook on Your PC Only" Mode Added. If you dont want to use SendLater feature that sends e-mails even when Outlook is not running, you can switch it off in settings and make SendLater use standard Outlook sending functionality (but in this case only when Outlook is running).

SendLater now sends e-mails without Outlook. SendLater now uses its own sending component. This feature allows sending e-mail even when Outlook is not running. Just provide your SMTP account password during the first SendLater start, and you are ready to send messages without Outlook.

New improved interface. The tabs have been changed to wizard-like interface, when you send e-mail using the SendLater functionality. Some functional improvements also added to each wizard step.

Bugs Fixed

The issue when a folder deleted from Outlook would receive the "failed" status has been fixed. Now it is automatically recreated in Outlook.

When removing folders from synchronization profile, some other folders would disappear from the list until Sync2 is restarted.

Synchronization would constantly fail if PST file location is changed.

On some systems the synchronized folder list would not show any folders, and synchronization would not start correctly due to missing  the Sync2PS.dll file.

Other minor improvements in error reporting logs.

In this build issue with Outlook 2007 “freeze” solved.

In this version the problem with calendar events import into Windows Vista Calendar is fixed.

When large number of folders were added to  a synchronization profile, the  synchronization process would stop unexpectedly and data would not be synchronized

When duplicates were detected, if the checkbox "Apply for all"  had been selected for the folder,  the user would get another notification about duplicates in the same folder anyway in some cases. Now the duplicate detection functionality  has been improved to avoid  these  issues.

In  the Conflict Resolution window,  if " Current item on your PC" was selected,  the  item would be updated anyway

In  the "Settings " window,  on the "Data Folders and Filters" tab, the folder tree  would not show all currently selected folders by default ( the tree branches with sub-folders were closed)

In some cases,  when clicking on the  "Stop" button during synchronization, it would stop the synchronization process, but would remain  depressed.

The buttons "Mark All Folders" and "Clear All Folders"  on  the  "Data Folders and Filters" tab  appeared without any text on some systems  The FTP profile location path was  shown without the root profile folder in some cases

Attachments used in the template were received by recipients with a strange long file name consisting of random numbers

When "View only" access level was assigned to a user in the  Management Panel on non-English editions, users would receive "Full" access level instead

Invitation form to receive sharing of a folder would not appear when another modal form is opened in Outlook, and would cause error. Now the invitation form waits for the modal form to disappear and then shows up.

In some cases,  when selecting the German language during installation with  the "for all users" option, the English language would appear instead. 

Emails with the received date showing "None" were not filtered according to the shared items filter during re-sending 

ShareO/ShareCalendar/ShareContacts menu would appear only on the first Outlook window, any other opened Outlook windows would not show the menu

"Ignore reminders" would not remove reminders  in default Outlook folder items

In systems with 16-bit color video settings, the message about  the successful finish of a re-sending process would not appear and  an error would be registered in  the error log

Free/Busy Information Sharing. Share and access yours and your Contacts Free/Busy time via the Scheduling Tab of the Appointment / Meeting Request or use Group Schedules in the Calendar folder. With the Shared Calendar this feature will help you schedule all your meetings and appointments. Always know your co-workers and friends free/busy time without disclosing the subject and private details.

The Private appointments as blanks check box is added to Sharing Settings under Share section. This enabled option will allow you to share private appointments without disclosing the appointment subject and other private details, only showing the scheduled time. If any member of the sharing team has version 2.00, he/she won’t be able to receive updates from versions 1.3 or earlier and others won’t be able to get any information from version 2.00.

Version 2.00 handles correct upgrade from previous version 1.3. You don’t have to worry about loosing your ShareOutlook (Contacts4Outlook, Calendar4Outlook) settings or any Outlook data.

Preview Pane
Use "Preview Pane" just like in Microsoft Outlook to quickly review your task, appointment or other item. Use the "Preview Pane" button at the top menu bar to open/close this preview window. You can also adjust the size of preview pane by dragging it with your mouse, or by clicking  the  "maximize/minimize" button.

Copy or Move Any Item
You can now copy or move any item from one project to another. Select the items you want to move by selecting the checkboxes on the right, then click  the "Copy/Move…" button and select the name of the project.

Customizable View of Your Dashboard
Now you have the ability to customize your dashboard by moving and resizing windows using your mouse, just like you do it with any window in your system. To enable such customization, click on the arrow symbol on the right -hand side of "My Dashboard" screen, or visit  the "Customize Dashboard" page and select "Enable windows modification mode".

If you are not going to update your Office you can still repair this problem using the "Clear Cache" Outlook Options. (Tools->Options->Advanced Options->custom Forms->Manage Forms->Clear Cache).  It is our recommendation that you update your Outlook 2003.

Save your unfinished work in a separate "Drafts" folder invisible to other members
Now you can make your messages, tasks, appointments and other information available only when you  need them. Save unfinished versions of items in a separate Drafts folder, then copy or move them  into any project when you  have completed working with them.

My Stuff Folders are accessible from My Dashboard menu: Use 4Team Online to manage your personal information and synchronize it with Outlook using Import-Export.

Now you have additional folders to manage, just like  your Personal Folders in Outlook. The content  of these folders is accessible to you  only.

Use  the "My Calendar" and "My Tasks" folders to track all your personal appointments and tasks. You can also enable the view of your tasks and appointments from  your projects, allowing you to see all your information in one place.

Make your personal contacts accessible online in the "My Contacts" folder.
